Rules

1

Pick 3 games each week against the spread

Your 3rd pick is your Best Bet. Picks 1 and 2 are worth 1 point if correct, the Best Bet is worth 3 — a perfect weekend is 1 + 1 + 3 = 5. A miss is worth 0.

2

A push pays half

Land exactly on the number and you get half of what the pick would have won: 0.5 on picks 1 and 2, 1.5 on a Best Bet, 2.5 on a Plunge. Nothing else scores in halves.

3

Once a year, take The Five-Point Plunge

It adds a fourth game to that week's card, worth +5 if it covers and −5 if it doesn't — the only pick on the board that can cost you points. A perfect Plunge week is 10. One per season, and you choose the week.

4

Spreads lock Monday when the week is published

Lines are pulled at 7:00pm CT every Monday and written down. If weather, injury or NIL money fail to materialize, our spread does not change.

5

One card, one submission, no take-backs

You submit one card, not separate picks, and you get one submission a week — once it's in, it can't be changed. You'll be shown your picks and asked to confirm them before anything is filed. An incomplete card can't be submitted at all.

6

The card is due before your earliest game

It has to be in before the first game on your card kicks off — take a Friday game and the whole card is due Friday. Otherwise the last deadline is noon ET Saturday.

7

Miss a week and you're not out — but you're out of one thing

No card filed scores 0 for that week. It also marks you as having skipped it, which rules you out of any prize for finishing last — nobody wins the booby prize by not showing up. Weeks that closed before you joined don't count against you.

8

Everyone's picks unlock at the same moment

The whole field stays sealed until noon ET Saturday, then opens at once. Before that you can see who has filed a card and nothing more, so picking late never means picking with more information than picking early.

9

There's a monthly pot as well as a season one

Every week also counts toward a prize for its month, so September has a winner of its own and so does October. Season totals are untouched by it — a bad September doesn't end your year, and a great one is worth something on its own.

10

Scoring is automatic

Finals are pulled all weekend and cards grade themselves. Nobody has to wait on the commissioner.
